Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. The bad blood between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi ll has reportedly been resolved following a meeting to reconcile the two in Abuja.
According to a statement by Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, the reconciliatory meeting was initiated by the Kano-born business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration. “Both leaders spoke and urged all Muslims to continue with the good teachings and spirit of the fasting period of the month of Ramadan.
Emir Sanusi used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Ganduje on his second term in office.
For a healthier relationship between the two institutions of government and Kano Emirate Council, the dialogues will continue” he said.
Before the meeting, the Kano State Government had on Thursday queried Sanusi over the alleged misappropriation of N3.4bn by the Kano Emirate Council. The state government had also created four emirates out of Kano.
